2011 Acura ZDX..

Top Gear goes to Bethlehem for Christmas ..

Last month we got news that the  were hanging out on the other side of the world in some not-so-extravagant vehicles. In an effort to make a joke, we compared them to the Three Wise Men heading off into the desert. Turns out, we were kind of right.

Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR AMG for sale..

This car might be 10 years old, but it’s been so rarely used that it only has 1,500 miles on its odometer. That’s probably why, even if it’s a little outdated, this car is still being sold for $1.8 million.

This car’ is the 2000  CK GR MG, one of only 25 known vehicles in the world and once considered as the most expensive production car in the world.

Powered by a 6.9-liter V12 engine that produces 720 horsepower and 572 lb/ft of torque, the CK GAR AM can run from 0-60 mph in a time of just 3.1 seconds with a top speed of 215 mph, a pretty astounding number for a car that was produced a decade ago.

Jaguar recalling 6,475 XJ saloon over malfunctioning wipers..

It appears that the recall bug has bitten a piece off of the big cat’s chink, prompting said big cat to issue a safety recall of their new  sedan.



After discovering a problem with the front wipers is set to recall 6,475 US-spec units of XJ models built from July 28, 2009 to November 3, 2010. The problem, it seems, stems from a malfunction where the front wiper arms weren’t torqued sufficiently during the car’s assembly. What this does is when the front wipers are being used, the securing nuts holding them in place could come loose and, as a result, lead to the wipers hitting each other, or worse, completely detach themselves from the car leaving the driver in a very precarious situation of driving without wipers when it’s raining.

Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 enters the 24-hour race in Dubai..

A few days ago Chevrolet announced that the first 350 Volts would be delivered to customers in California, Texas, Washington D.C., and New York. We should have guessed that one of those vehicles would land in the hands of fellow car enthusiast, Jay Leno. The guy has everything anyway, why not a new Volt?

Being an automotive connoisseur, Leno’s first act as a Volt owner was to compare the vehicle with the electric models on the market. He may not feature vehicles like the Volt very often in his Garage, but he insists that this car will be his daily driver. He also says that “electricity is like sex, people lie about it” and that the Volt has "electricity when you need it and gas when you really want it."

2011 Honda Civic Gets Just Two Stars in New NHTSA Side Crash Test..

Having revised its crash testing methods, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NAPHTHA) has now released its new findings on 55 vehicles, including the 2011 Honda Civic. 

Although the Civic hasn’t been significantly updated since the 2006 model year, the new NATASHA methods, which include a ‘pole’ test, whereby the car is simulated in a 20 mph impact with a 10 foot pole or tree behind the A-pillar on the driver’s side, have resulted in some surprising changes to the car’s overall safety rating.

2011 Lamborghini LP560 GT by West Racing..

In the midst of all the new racing machines being introduced for the 2011 racing season, West Racing has just received their Lamborghini Gallantry LP 560 GT which they will enter into this year’s American Le Mans Series. The super-car, which was developed in cooperation with tire partner Yokohama, will be undergoing its first testings at Se-bring in late January and will also participate in the annual ALMS Winter Test from February 9th-10th.

Nissan GT-R involved in fatal crash..

Usually when we write about crashes involving all of the different kinds of sports cars, we like ending our stories with "Fortunately no one was hurt." However, this latest sports car crash does not offer us that type of luxury. A 31-year-old was driving at high speeds in his dark gray Nissan GT-R somewhere in Germany when, while taking a dangerous curve, lost control and crashed into a bus. In total, 14 people were hurt and the GT-R’s driver was trapped in the mangled metal of a car until firefighters freed him. Unfortunately, the emergency crew arrived at the crash scene too late and could only pronounce his death.

Honda Jazz becomes a hybrid..

Honda will reveal a hybrid version of the Jazz super mini at the Paris Motor Show. The new car uses the same petrol-electric driveler as the Insight, called Integrated Motor Assist (MA).

Unlike the Toyota Pris, the Jazz's electric motor cannot disengage from the petrol motor entirely and start up the car. However, it can allow the car to coast with the engine switched off in certain conditions.

Nissan GT-R asks: Is the lavender a bit much.

Black, white, red, or orange; these are all suitable colors for a sports car. Stray from this collection and the consequences could be hit or miss. Obviously British automotive member of the press and GT-R fan, Davis Yu, has decided to take his chances and turn a perfectly good Gum metallic paint job into Barney.

That’s right; this guy has taken his Nissan GT-R to the folks at inventive FX so they could wrap it up in a purple foil.

Not that it hasn’t been done before Nissan themselves have even ventured off to the plum palette by allowing their 2010 V Spec GT-R models to carry the color, but we’re not so sure that the GT-R deserve this kind of handling.

Volkswagen issue enormous remember on five dissimilar model,

Apparently, even the tall and powerful are not resistant to the auto world’s description of the flu: recalls.

Volkswagen, one of the biggest automakers in the world has issued a huge recall connecting five of its models that were contrived during a five-year period from 2006 to 2010. The problem appears to be a small plastic tab on the windshield washer fluid reservoir that could chafe against the car’s fuel supply line. The models affected by this problem include the Volkswagen Jetty, the Jetty Sportswomen, the Golf, and the Rabbit.

Meanwhile, another model – the New Beetle – has its own set of problems connecting a binding press together on its hydraulic hose that could also chafe touching the car’s fuel brings in line.

From time to time, the best racing approach doesn’t engage a fast car or better pouring skills; all you need to do is have bottles of lightning in your bag and the ability to just throw them at your hapless opponent at the right possible time. That’s exactly what Disney’s Split/next phone race game is all about. It’s not so much about the car as it is about what kind of sneaky Power Plays you have up our sleeve, all in the person's name of charming a reality rivalry.

To be fair, Split/Second is as thrilling a racing game as there is on the telephone. Add that to the fact that the whole story-line is pretty dissimilar – you’re a contestant in a reality show, if you can believe that – and you’ve got a game that should deliver a lot of adrenaline-pumping racing right from the first ‘episode’ of the reality show.

Whether it does, though, is completely dependent on how you enjoy the spectacle of racing in such a chaotic setting where no lead is safe – even if you’re racing in first place and you’re about ten feet from the come to an end line.
